ALEX NEWLAND

HITTING & PITCHING INSTRUCTOR

Coach Newland was a 3-year varsity starter in High School, played one year at Concordia University, and has helped coach the A2 Travelers as well. He has been teaching lessons for the past 8 years, working with kids as young as 6 all the way up to the collegiate and professional ranks. Coach Newland focuses on teaching the fundamentals of hitting, pitching, and fielding.

HITTING & PITCHING INSTRUCTOR

Coach Yates is a former player for the Houston Astros organization. He specializes in Hitting and Pitching for players of all skill levels. Coach Yates is currently coaching several youth travel teams in the area and believes fundamentals and hard work are keys to becoming a great baseball player.
RICK ROJAS

RICK ROJAS

Coach Rojas is currently coaching the Detroit Bees 13U and the 10U Hit Dogs travel baseball teams.  Coach Rojas has been coaching elite travel baseball for players ages 7 through 14 for 10 years. A teacher by trade, Coach Rojas knows which skills need to be developed by a player at an early age to become successful athletes and grow year after year. Coach Rojas believes a player development starts with supportive parents and players who enjoy the game and want to learn. He sees his coaching role as being the person who fosters an athlete’s enjoyment for the game. His coaching philosophy is for players to learn the correct movements and skills which are needed to build and learn the next skill. He engages all players with varied activities and correct repetitions.
Dan Muller

Dan Muller

HITTING INSTRUCTOR

Dan Muller is a former college baseball player and works for Prep Baseball Report as a scout. He has coached/worked with some of the best players in the state of Michigan for the past 3 years. He has coached travel baseball and high school baseball as well as football at Livonia Franklin High School.
SAMANTHA CAIN

SAMANTHA CAIN

PITCHING INSTRUCTOR

Coach Cain played for Finesse travel team for five years in which she helped her team to two elite eight finishes as well as one third place finish in nationals. A 2008 graduate of Kennedy High School, she set the record for most strikeouts in a year with 230, compiled a 55-22 record her first three years, had 15 homeruns and 62 runs heading into senior year. She served as softball team captain for two years. Coach Cain is currently a pitcher for the Wayne State University softball team. Last year the team won the GLIAC league, as well as regionals and super regionals to advance to the World Series where they finished in the final eight at the NCAA Division II World Series. Coach Cain is also a member of the Midland Lady Explorers 23u team who won the 2010 World Series in Peoria, Illinois.
